A Somewhat Creepy Adventure On The Cultural Trail
What could a couple of adventurers do when one of them can’t be too far from home? They find local adventures to do. So because we couldn’t be too far from a sick dog, that’s what we did. We went to Downtown Indianapolis and the Cultural Trail did not disappoint at all. We even had an unexpected adventure in the abandoned belly of the city.
Monument Circle
Paige and I started by parking in the Express Parking Garage. We chose this due to the possibility of a spectacular view of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Again, Indianapolis did not disappoint. We arrived around noon with the hope to return after sunset with an even better view of the monument.
We left the parking garage without a plan. The two of us decided to just roughly follow the trail and entertain whatever distractions presented. Our first stop was Monument Circle, even though it is not on the Cultural Trail. The base of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument is full of details. Details that most would easily miss by just driving around the circle. Paige was able to take some great photos of those details. While she did, I was photographing the wider angles of the monument and the circle. The bigger picture, if you will.
