American Legion Mall
The next noteworthy area we came across was the American Legion Mall. Just before it was the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Just about anyone would be able to appreciate the ornate architecture of this church. From there, the path moves towards the Indianapolis Public Library Central Branch. This building has outstanding architectural features as well. The front of the building has classic features, while the back is very modern. There was no charge to go in and give ourselves a tour.
After leaving the library, we were led through the American Legion Mall. It is a long, narrow park with multiple war memorials and the American Legion Headquarters. The Cultural Trail goes to the end, just before getting to Obelisk Square, and then heads to Alabama St and crossing Massachusetts Ave which is a very popular area with shops, restaurants, and bars.
